A 2000 m2 tropical forest
The Butterfly Park is located in Castello d'Empuries (Empuriabrava) and they have recreated a tropical rainforest in a greenhouse of about 2,000 m2. The protagonists are talking parrots and butterflies that flutter around freely, as well as iguanas and several unique bird species including the largest pigeon in the world. There is much to learn about the life cycle, nutrition, breeding, metamorphosis and camouflage of the animals.
Open every day
A visit takes about an hour and a half, and the park is open every day from 10:00 a.m. until an hour before sunset. Get in the mood at the Butterfly Park website .
