In this privacy statement you can read which personal data we collect from you as a customer or user of our websites, how we handle it, what your rights are and with which parties we work together. We believe it is important that our services are reliable and transparent. We handle your personal data discreetly and carefully and ensure that we comply with applicable laws and regulations.

1. Responsible
This is the privacy policy of Bonvida Homecare S.L., the person responsible for processing your personal data for the website and when you contact us. The main processor of your personal data for the Bonvida brand is Bonvida Homecare S.L., a private company based in Spain.

2. How Bonvida uses your personal data
In this section you will find information about the different purposes for which Bonvida processes your personal data, which personal data it concerns, what the legal basis is for use and how long the data is stored.

2.1 Processing your requests or bookings
When you make or request a booking, you will be required to enter your personal information. The mandatory information we need for a booking is your name, date of birth, your address, your e-mail address, your telephone number, composition of your travel group, information about the accommodation, the period of stay, any special facilities and payment details. Furthermore, information can be optionally added, such as details about your group composition. To comply with Spanish law, we ask you for your identification type and identification number. We will then pass this information on to the Spanish government and we will not use it for any other purpose. We process the information that you have entered or provided in another way. By making a request or by making a booking you will automatically be included in our address file. We use your data to communicate the status of your reservation and payment, to make the booking for you, to send you the necessary information about your stay and to send you service messages. If you do not want to provide your e-mail address when requesting or booking, please book by telephone. The other personal data mentioned here will remain necessary. Bonvida processes the aforementioned personal data of you to realize your request or booking, so these are necessary for the execution of the agreement between you and Bonvida. We store the personal data that we process in connection with your request or booking for a maximum of 7 years and that is in accordance with legal retention periods.

2.2 Sending the newsletter
If you have registered for the newsletter via the website, we use the e-mail address you have provided to email you this newsletter. You will then be automatically included in our address file. Even if you have made a booking you will receive our newsletter, unless you indicate that you do not want this. We would like to keep you informed of interesting offers of our products and services. Sending the newsletter is either to comply with your registration, so necessary to execute the agreement that has arisen between you and Bonvida, or because it is in Bonvida’s legitimate interest to be able to inform you about Bonvida’s services. Unless your e-mail address has also been collected or used for one of the other purposes mentioned in this privacy statement, we will anonymise your e-mail address immediately after you have unsubscribed from the newsletter. If we keep your e-mail address for other purposes, we will of course ensure that you no longer receive the newsletter.

2.3 Answering your questions or complaints and service mails
Questions regarding your booking, request or other comments or complaints can be sent to us by email, via chat or by telephone (and also via Whatsapp). In that case, we will use your personal data to handle your questions, to be able to contact you again and to take other necessary action in connection with your complaint or request. We record the moments at which we had contact with you via which channel, the reason for the contact and the relevant content of what was discussed or the emails that were exchanged. If you are not already included in our address file, customer service can record your question and contact details so that customer service can better serve you and to handle any future requests or bookings more efficiently. If you have not completed an online booking, we may contact you to remind you of the unfinished booking, to ask if anything went wrong or to point out other properties that you may find interesting instead. These data are necessary to execute the agreement with you or they are in the legitimate interest of Bonvida to provide you with an even better service. The data that customer service stores about you is stored for 7 years.

2.4 Information about your visit to and use of the Bonvida website
When you visit our website, a number of information about you is automatically registered on our server, such as which web pages you visit, from which country you visit our website, the name of your computer system and type of internet browser. This data is stored completely anonymously and cannot be traced back to you.

2.5 Marketing
Your information about your bookings and our communication with you can be combined by Bonvida. This information enables Bonvida to conduct various forms of marketing, such as via e-mail (newsletter), addressed mail, and to make the information sent or displayed as relevant and interesting as possible for you. We measure the effectiveness of all our campaigns. You always have the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter, to indicate that you do not want to receive commercial mail from us and you can also object at any time to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. The use of all this data is necessary for Bonvida in the context of its legitimate interest to be able to inform website visitors and customers about new products and services and in order to be able to acquire more customers, to retain customers and to increase the number of bookings.

2.6 Participation in competitions or other promotions
We also use personal data when you participate in competitions or promotions that we organize. For this we process your name and e-mail address in order to be able to evaluate your entry and to communicate with you when you have won a prize. Some contests have additional rules about our use of your personal data. Our processing of the personal data for this purpose is necessary in the context of the performance of our agreement with you.

2.7 Website maintenance and optimization
Your personal data will also be used to analyze and maintain the use of our website and associated technologies, to resolve any malfunctions, to improve availability and to protect against fraud (for example, when multiple attempts are made to make a booking, or if a booking is made in violation of our terms and conditions).

2.8 Reviews from guests
After staying in a holiday home rented via Bonvida you can post a review on our website. This review is visible to all website visitors. You will be asked to place your full name, preferably your first name, and your place of residence in the review, because that information greatly increases the reliability of the review. We recommend that you make sure that you do not provide any personal information in the review. The placement of a review is based on your permission. Bonvida also reserves the right to refuse reviews at its own discretion and without giving a reason. You can also always ask us to remove your review via the contact page. Reviews can also be used in other marketing communications from Bonvida. We can share the review with partners who also rent out the house in question. This makes it possible that your review will also be visible on other websites.

3. Social Media
You can choose to share information from our website via social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google and YouTube. This means that the shared information, with name and interests, can become visible to the visitors of your personal pages. Bonvida recommends that you carefully read the privacy statements of the relevant social media parties. These are in fact applicable to the processing of your personal data by these parties.

4. Cookies
Our website does not use cookies that collect, store or share data that can be traced back to an identifiable natural person; in other words personal data. It is therefore not necessary to display a cookie notification. For the sake of completeness, we inform you that we only use cookies that are necessary for the functioning of the website, such as your language preference or placing a booking.

5. Retention period
We keep your data for as long as necessary for the aforementioned purposes or to comply with legal (retention) obligations. The various retention periods used by Bonvida are included in this Privacy Statement. After the end of the retention period, we will delete or anonymize your personal data. You will of course no longer receive information from Bonvida about new houses or other interesting mailings.

6. Third parties

We will only share your personal data with third parties when necessary:

  • in the context of the provision of a service by this third party that we need to be able to fulfill your request or booking, such as IT service providers, product suppliers (e.g. partners who rent houses through us) and service partners. (e.g. key managers)
  • in case you rent a holiday home in Spain we will, in order to comply with Spanish law, share your ID type and number with the Spanish government. (if we have received this from you)
  • to carry out your request for a booking, we pass on your personal data to the relevant home owner. Homeowners must also comply with applicable privacy laws when using your personal information. In addition, they are contractually obliged to Bonvida to carefully store and use your personal data.
  • to settle your payment for the rented holiday home and other costs.

Most of these third parties are processors and only use your personal data for Bonvida. These parties are mainly located in the Netherlands or within the EU. Bonvida only provides personal data to parties that guarantee that they have taken the required measures to adequately protect the data. A processor agreement is concluded with processors that, among other things, regulates the confidentiality and security of your personal data by these third parties.

Only when Bonvida is legally obliged to do so will personal data be provided to supervisors, investigative services and tax authorities. Please note that some of these services may have far-reaching powers that enable them to enforce such disclosures.

7. Security
Bonvida considers good security of your personal data of great importance. Bonvida has therefore taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data against unauthorized or otherwise unwanted access. This is visible to you, among other things, by the lock that appears in your browser when making a booking. Employees of Bonvida or third parties engaged by Bonvida will also only have access to those personal data that are necessary for the performance of their duties. We regularly provide our website with automated security scans and take adequate measures to protect our systems against unauthorized access.

8. Your rights with regard to your personal data
You have the right to view your complete data, as registered with Bonvida, and to adjust it, if it is incorrect or incomplete. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to delete or limit the processing of your personal data by Bonvida, and the right to ask Bonvida to provide your personal data to yourself or to a third party. Bonvida can, if desired, send a written copy of your data. You can also object to our processing of your personal data for reasons related to your specific situation, in particular when these are processed in the legitimate interest of Bonvida (as indicated in this privacy statement).
