Empuriabrava (Ampuriabrava) is a unique coastal town on the Costa Brava, with an impressive marina and no fewer than 5000 moorings. Countless canals cross the village. The holiday homes are mostly on the water, with its own jetty. In short; a paradise for water sports enthusiasts!
The harbor town of Empuriabrava is not very massive and it offers the discerning holiday maker many options. There is a wide sandy beach, a promenade with numerous restaurants and shops, and of course lots of entertainment for children.
These can be rented in all shapes and sizes, with or without a license. There are also beautiful jet ski excursions to Cap de Creus and Cadaqués. For daredevils there are exciting attractions with Flyboard, flyfish or the Banana Boat. Parasailing is also possible.

Empuriabrava has a long wide soft sandy beach, it slowly ends in the sea. Very child friendly, with cozy beach bars and there are good parking options.
In addition to the main beach there is Playa de la Rubina. This is a beautiful bay that extends all the way to Santa Margarita. The beach tents are open here until late at night with live music & fun!

There is a market every Saturday (8:30 AM – 2:00 PM)! On the boulevard, right on the Empuriabrava beach. Always wanted to skydive? Empuriabrava has its own airport and is one of the most popular skydiving zones in the world. The combination of sea, rivers and landscape makes the view unique. Empuriabrava belongs to the municipality of Castelló d’Empúries, an authentic Spanish town in a rural setting. Castelló still has old squares and typical narrow streets. The colorful central square, Plaça dels Homes, has arcades around (stone arches) with pleasant terraces for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Every year, in September, the “Terra de Trobadors” festival is held in Castelló. A large medieval party where everyone is dressed up. There are medieval markets and various typical games from that time. There are great activities for children, it is a unique cultural experience for the whole family! This small tropical zoo offers the fascinating world of butterflies, parrots and other exotic animals! There is a real tropical rain forest (2000 m2!) With colorful butterflies and parrots that flutter around freely, there are even iguanas. Much can be learned about the life cycle, feeding, breeding, metamorphosis and camouflage of the animals. Eating real tapas for once is part of a holiday in Spain. Txot´s is located directly on the beach of Empuriabrava, with a large terrace and is open all year round. In addition to tapas, there are many more tasty things to order: from fresh salads and squid rings to Spanish ham with bread and tomato or a steak with grilled vegetables. Cozy restaurant & lounge bar in the center of Empuriabrava. An ideal place to eat together. The order must be filled in by yourself, there is plenty of choice from tapas prepared in a non-traditional way. Surprisingly tasty! The crispy shrimp with sambal has been the bestseller for years. Chicken in a basket! Super popular; half chicken and fries for 6.80 euros! You can’t get it anywhere else so cheap and delicious. Side dishes include fresh coleslaw and all kinds of homemade sauces. There are two locations in Empuriabrava: Near Rubina beach, and right in front of the main beach. Both nice locations, relaxed atmosphere and nice service.
